UsableNet AQA Product Update – New Dashboards and Developer Tools

Written by Chris Werely | May 20, 2020 7:07:31 PM

We are excited to announce new updates to UsableNet AQA, our accessibility management platform.  We are giving all users more data and insight into their accessibility status and efforts through customizable dashboards. We can't wait to see how this empowers and informs accessibility strategy.

We've also been hard at work to add more value for developers. Updates to the AQA Chrome extension will help developers more efficiently test for accessibility while coding.

Jump over to our updated UsableNet AQA solution page or read more details about all of the updates below.

Customizable Dashboards

We are introducing team and Individual dashboards to provide insight, data and progress of your accessibility program in order to optimize your efforts and resources.

The main features are:

  • Team and individual dashboards are customizable and easily configurable
  • Ability to track data points over time, such as A11y Scores and conformance percentages
  • Many customizable widgets and data points so you can track data that is most important to you.

Remember Manual Reviews in AQA Chrome Extension

The AQA Chrome extension has always identified accessibility issues that need manual review. It also guides you through the review. With this new release, AQA will remember your manual review results and can reapply them in future tests.

This significantly reduces manual review time because it eliminates re-testing issues, especially for developers who are making iterative changes on a page. This translates in more efficiency when incorporating accessibility testing in your development process.

Additional Training Content

On dashboards we have added tips, videos and feature highlights to improve general accessibility knowledge and how to use AQA. You can select the most relevant topics for your team on shared dashboards.

Improved Manual Review Panel

We’ve re-organized the manual review panel to reduce the time to check, assign, or flag accessibility issues. You'll find this helpful in your own manual accessibility reviews.

Release Training

We are now hosting training webinars over the next two weeks to help users adopt the new features. if you are a current client, please email contact@usablenet.com for training session details. And we hope you get a lot of value out of this new functionality! We would love to hear your feedback and comments.

We built the UsableNet AQA for today’s digital teams to improve and monitor accessibility in today’s fast-paced digital environments where more traditional approaches simply do not scale.
